A few months ago my washing machine’s spin cycle quit working. It seemed to agitate on the wash cycle but would not spin to fling out all the soapy water at the end of the wash cycle or the clean water from the rinse cycle. Do you have any idea how wet your clothes are without the spin cycle?
I wrang the freezing cold water out with my hands and threw the clothes in the dryer. Obviously, it was time to call the repair man or buy a replacement. Then the air conditioner quit working.
After we spent a ridiculous amount of money having our AC repaired, I decided to put off fixing or replacing the washer for a few weeks. I would run the extra rinse cycle and manually wring out the clothes before I put them in the dryer. This slowed progress but I tried to be thankful to have a washer even if it needed a little help.
Then, our dryer quit heating. We packed up all 4 of the kids and all the laundry and visited the local laundry mat. $20 later we decided it was time to do some washer and dryer shopping.
After some research, we found a set with great reviews that was being discontinued. It was being sold at 40% off! We got our new set installed earlier this week! I can’t tell you how thankful I am for our new washer and dryer. What are you grateful for this week?
